New Olympic Events

This August, we have been staying up way too late watching the Olympics. Clara walks around the house cheeing, "Go Michael Phelps!" and "Go USA!". Here are some of the events each of us have qualified for in the Green Family Summer Olympic Games.

Summer Smells

Here are some roses from my garden and pots. Roses are my favorite summer smell. I am always looking for new varieties that smell intoxicating! Some of my other favorite summer scents are:

• BBQ's (real ones. with charcoal.)
• fresh cut grass
• sunscreen
• peaches and nectarines
• Jeff's tri tip grilling
• the ocean
• an early evening breeze
• an iced americano (only from Starbucks)
• basil, mint or rosemary growing on my deck
• a fruit crisp baking

I'm actually enjoying the Americano right now. The last two remind me that I should start thinking about what I'm making Jeff for dinner. And dessert.
