Around the house

Here are some random pictures of C and J hanging out at home. Since Jack's been walking, they seem to play together better and better all the time. Except today Clara did get whacked in the mouth by accident with a frying pan from their play kitchen. Jack's a pretty strong kid. Tears and sorry's and kisses were passed around.
Here they are after church a few weeks ago. I think Jack is so dapper in his sweater vest. I also love how Clara's ankle is turned. I also appreciate my daughter getting lots of use out of her clothes. She wore this entire outfit last year as a one and a half year old and still fits it now as a two and a half year old.
Clara (and Mickey) made this beautiful castle all by themseves. In this picture I love Clara's feet again. She is wearing one bunny slipper and one pouffy brown sock (as she calls it). Clara loves her bunny slippers and named them "Pinkey" and "Fluffy". Jack has some brown bear slippers and she named them "Brownie" and "Chocolate Chip".

In this picture, Clara is reading Jack a book. He is very interested in this book and points with her at all the pictures. Mostly he just tries to turn the page to the picture of the horse and gets on his hands and knees on the book and "growls" at the horse. I do not know where he learned this.

And here's my big boy practicing eating with a spoon and bowl. As a one year old, Clara always used this suction bowl without much interaction with the bowl. My son, however feels the need to conquer the bowl and show it who's boss. Whenever I put this suction cup bowl on his tray now, he pulls and grunts and yells and yanks until he gets it un-stuck. Then he holds onto it with a smug face and eats whatever is in there. I should probably take the time to teach him not to yank it off, but I can't help it-I'm too entertained by him and his feats of strength.
